Parker, Arizona provides easy access to 16 miles of Colorado River south of Lake Havasu. This beautiful stretch of river, known as the Parker Strip, is swift and often populated by boaters, river tubers, water skiers and fishermen, and home of the annual Parker Bluegrass Festival on the River.

Parker, has a beautiful winter climate and, like many Arizona cities, is a winter home to many Snowbirds. With plenty of fishing, boating and camping, holiday week-ends bring lots of folks from Phoenix and Southern California. Parker has lots of lodging and dining options to cater to its many visitors.

Parker is located on the western border of Arizona on the Colorado River, 35 miles north of north of I-10 and 40 miles south of Lake Havasu

In central Tucson there is a mural of a hummingbird at a flower with a giant hand behind it next to the sun. The colorful hummingbird and flower are sculpted and rise out of the building

The bird and flower seem to be in the palm of the big hand behind them. Since this is on the side of a church this is most likely a religious message. Some one posted a big banner over a section of the mural
