The Luna Lake Wildlife Area is nestled in the White Mountains, offering a cool, high-elevation escape from desert heat in summer. The area provides opportunities for the whole family, ranging from trout fishing and waterfowl hunting, to watching a resident pair of bald eagles raise their young, or just plain relaxing. In addition to the lake itself, the nearby wetlands and forests provide great opportunities to view wildlife for nature lovers of all ages.

This wildlife area is also managed to provide a recreational trout fishery.
